Havco Wood Products LLC (“Havco”) recently discovered a data incident that may have involved the personal information for certain individuals. On March 31, 2025, Havco detected suspicious activity within its computer network. Upon discovering the incident, Havco promptly secured its systems and began an investigation. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed Havco’s computer network and may have acquired certain Havco files during the incident. Havco reviewed the involved files to determine if they contained any personal information. The files contained personal information that included, depending on the individual, their name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, financial account number, username and password, medical treatment information, and/or health insurance information. Havco mailed notification letters to those individuals whose information was in the files for whom Havco has a valid mailing address.
Notified individuals can refer to the notice they will receive in the mail regarding steps they can take with regard to the incident. Havco also recommends that, as a precautionary measure, all individuals should remain vigilant to protect against potential fraud and/oridentity theft by, among other things, reviewing their account statements and monitoring credit reports closely. If individuals detect any suspicious activity on an account, they should promptly notify the financial institution or company with which the account is maintained and report any fraudulent activity or any suspected incidents of identity theft to proper law enforcement authorities.
