Trailer Flooring Protection

Our trailer floor coatings extend the operational life of flooring and increase ROI and durability.

Why Protecting Your Trailer Floor Is so Important

A dry van trailer’s laminated wood floor can have about 1,600 bonded wood strips. When the wood floor absorbs water, it swells and expands, putting stress on the floor screws and causing potential breakage. When the screws break, your floorboards aren’t secured to the crossmembers. Then the floorboards can warp and be damaged by fork trucks loading and unloading heavy cargo.

During prolonged exposure to dry climates, the floor can lose moisture and wood strips can shrink, stressing the glue bonds between them and causing delamination and water leaks. This can lead to additional damage over time.

Havco’s HD Coatings Can Protect Both the Top and Bottom of Your Floor

Our HD coatings protect the top, bottom or both sides of your trailer floor. They create a durable barrier against water and chemicals — and provide excellent protection for Havco laminated oak floors.*
